SENIOR CHEMICAL ENGINEER / PROCESS SPECIALIST Effective Date: Based on finding the right candidate Hours:Part-Time, Contract Location: Office is in Calgary, AB
Open Positions: 1 Seeking the next Senior Mentor! You are well established in your field, an expert in niche process areas and looking to mentor a high-performance team. The results you will be responsible for include: Engineering Excellence โข Become a core go-to technical expert for our internal team and the clients we serve
โข Review technical reports, calculations, design briefs, design drawings, and specifications โข Review team deliverables for accuracy of designs, reports, and studies
โข Ensure all engineering work is carried out in accordance with industry codes and standards, accepted industry practices and guidelines, and client expectations Program Management and Execution
โข Support business development efforts and management of client relationships โข Support in coordination of technical staff and assigning of resources to projects
โข Support in ensuring project quality is achieved โข Support in gathering client feedback and adjust processes as required Leadership and Development
โข Use coaching and mentorship tools to develop strong individuals and a cohesive team โข Live the core Journey values in a daily, practical sense
โข Bring strategic mindset to bear on current planning and growth efforts Education / Experience Requirements: โข Professional engineer with 15+ years of directly relevant experience
โข Active registration with APEGA as a P.Eng., with eligibility for APEGS registration
โข Experience in cryogenics and specialty gas niches such as helium, hydrogen, or carbon dioxide considered a plus โข Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and grow a team of high-performing professionals
โข Business development experience in both private and public sectors
โข Exhibit a safety mindset in a professional and personal setting
โข Experience working in a dynamic and challenging environment and adapting to changing priorities
