Overview of the Role:
Starting rate: $43.70
You are best suited for the role if you have the following qualifications:
Ensure that all work is performed safely while following OH&S, WCB, Food Safety protocol, GMP’s and Company regulations and procedures
Maintain and operate Boilers and Refrigeration
Working with MP2 and Fiix preventative Maintenance software
Respond to production calls related to the Boiler and Refrigeration
Perform daily duties and monitoring
Perform engineering maintenance and conducting related Preventative maintenance and work orders
Shift work involved – rotating shifts
Must accurately complete and maintain documentation as required
Other duties as assigned and as required
The following would be considered an asset:
Must have 5th class Engineering Certificate preference given to 4th
Minimum three (3) years experience in a food processing facility would be an asset
Must have Refrigeration Ticket
Ability to work within a Team environment
Should exhibit initiative, good judgement, diligence, and have an excellent work and attendance record
Must be proficient in current position
Good mechanical aptitude
Duties:
Carries out reactive, predictive and preventative maintenance on plant equipment.
Trouble shoots and repairs equipment in breakdown situations to minimize downtime
Carries out equipment installations and modifications, repairing parts where necessary
Work effectively in a processing environment without jeopardizing food safety
Follows company policies and safety-first culture while continuously improving standards
Works effectively and collaboratively with other trades groups to complete project assignments.
Performs other duties as assigned by Maintenance Manager or assigned leadership designate.
